Valentines Weekend

Around our house we don't really celebrate valentines day as our wedding anniversary is the day before. This year was one of the best days. Hubby's mum turned 60 so we celebrated by going on 'Big Foot' at our local winery, where we go to go right to the top of Coolangatta mountain and see so much of the coast line! It was fantastic!! After we had a bit to eat at the restaurant and then headed home to relax before dropping Emmanuel off so we could get ready.

We headed down to Mollymook to visit The Pavilion at Bannisters for dinner. And it was devine. I wish i had of taken more pics of the place because the atmosphere was fab, food was delicious and the service was amazing. We will definitely be going back!

Here are a few pics of just details of what i wore and one of the restaurant at night!.

The dress is from Bohemian Traders but they don't sell this one anymore. But they do have many other fantastic things on their site!

Excuse the gross concrete. Hazards of owning a 50+ year old home ;)

My newest addition to the handbag collection. Swoon. Can be found (in other colours) from here

The decor was fantastic!! Totally what this area needs.

Where the pool is, is where you eat!

The view!! I told you it was amazing right?!

Beauty Buys from Brissy

Ok, as i promised yesterday, here is what i scored from Brisbane. I will just preface this by saying i am a perfume hoarder (15 bottles and going strong :p ).

I was pretty excited as i got to set foot in a REAL MECCA!!!! Can you hear the angels singing?! ha ha It was beauty heaven *swoon*. I asked one of the sale assistants to match me for some powder foundation. Something light with a little coverage. First time being matched properly and it was awesome! I felt fully confident in them and their ability to help me choose the right shade. I will definitely be going back to get some liquid foundation ;) (FYI first time I've ever had proper legit matching foundation that I've actually wanted to wear. I usually don't wear foundation at all. I am a blush, mascara and lippy or gloss kinda girl lol )

^ you can see a better pic of the earrings i wore to Taylor Swift.

Seriously the most golden kissed highlighter ever. Jaclyn Hill killed it with this collaboration and this is a beautiful highlight. I'm in love. (This was off sephora and i got it just before i left so thought I'd include it).

These were a b'day gift. As we flew up to brissy on my birthday we had celebrations the week of my birthday. My SIL knows me well.

Perfume. My loves. That middle sucker took forever for me to track down. When we went to fiji last year i tested it and thought "oh i'll come back and get that" But i was torn at leaving our boarding gate as it was longish walk to the duty free section. So i thought "oh i will just buy it online when i get home" famous.last.words. Yeah, so, this is a 2015 limited edition perfume only sold in tax/duty free places. Just my luck. So i sweetly asked my mate who was going to the U.S the next month and lucky for me they flew out of sydney (originally going to be brisbane) and he could get it for me. So when i was up in brissy we saw them for dinner and i got my hands on this elusive little bottle of liquid love. Vera Wang was another birthday present. And the Lancome one was one i brought myself whilst we were shopping.

Obsessed with Urban decay. This lip gloss is devine. Good pigmentation, long lasting and not too sticky. I got the colour 'Kinky'. The mini too faced melted lip stick was a 'extra' i think it was my birthday gift from Mecca. I definitely like the melted lipstick too.

Ah the holy grail in awesome light foundation coverage. I told you i'm a UD fan through and through.

I also got the Glam Glow mud mask which i feel as though it works. But does it sting like no tomorrow for anyone else? Hope you are all having a great week so far. Emmanuel is home sick today so we are just having a very relaxed home day. LOVE home days.

Brisvegas by the camera roll

Hey guys!

So as i have mentioned, i went to see Taylor Swift in Brisbane in decemeber, and my goodness what a talent! She was so awesome! The time spent in brissy was ok, i think we spent too many days in the city. It was my first time to actual brisbane so i thought thursday to monday was a good amount of time, but it was a little too much time. It would have been better if we had of been at a nice resort and had good sun baking weather. The city is not like sydney. There aren't heaps of places to explore there is literally the heart of the city and south bank. We did have a fab time but this is definitely a tip for next time ;)

We stayed at The Punthill Brisbane which was fantastic! The room was beautiful, clean and new. The beds were comfy and there was no noisy neighbours. And the service was fantastic! Although i have to say being a person who sleeps with the window/sliding door open the garbage trucks at 5am were a little too much to take ha ha ha

There was really pretty architecture around the city! This place was on our walk up the biggest hill to our apartment.

SIL and i are coffee drinkers and we love to people watch. She gets me when i observe something about what someone is wearing/doing, you know how men don't get a lady's fascination with people watching?! Yeah well she is my go to people watching buddy ;D So we found the perfect spot, starbucks (hell yeah!) at the entrance to the shopping centre in the heart of the city. So of course i snapped a few pics of our coffees. And you can tell who is the more serious coffee drinker can't you?! (hint: not me lol).

We went to one of Jamie Oliver's restaurant for dinner on the friday night (i think it was :D) And it was sumptuous!

Southbank was very beautiful and such brilliant idea! It had two huge lagoons where there was enough room for heaps of people and for some cooling off. And we later on discovered markets, a street full of restaurants that ran parallel to south bank and many places to sit and relax and do some more people watching. We went on the big "Wheel of Brisbane" which was fantastic! And then walked around south bank and just took in all the sights.

Ice creams to curb the after lunch sweet hit!

And the outfits! This Mister Zimi is perfection, I'm dying to get another! (I'm eyeing off thisthis (hopefully it'll come back into stock) and this one, although out of stock in my size! Damn!!).

This dress is so comfy, thank you Dotti. My Tory Burch thongs are brilliant too!

Seriously Chambray is so easy to wear! I love its ability to be neutral yet put together and a little bit fancy. This dress is from The Iconic.

And lastly what i wore to Taylor. The earrings are from H&M, top is Zara and same with the jeans which you can't see lol

When we arrived at the concert we were given these things that looked like Fitbits but were white. We were told that when Taylor was coming on these would tell us. It was seriously cool seeing the whole place light up when she came on stage. It was like synchronised lighting. They went to the beat of the song and were continuously going many different colours.

Overall she was totally worth taking a few days off and exploring the city, especially with my SIL. I am looking forward to going back up there to see our friends again! And the shopping was pretty awesome ;) I will show you what i got (cosmetics wise) tomorrow! Enjoy the rest of the arvo, i am off to continue cleaning and then get the little man from the bus stop.

Where am i Wednesday

Did you guys notice last weeks post was put up on a tuesday? Weird. It could totally have been me thinking of the wrong day, because lets face it, i don't know Martha from Arthur some days.

Anyhoo, this past week has been nice and not to busy, but days filled with friends, family and sometimes just nothing.

Thursday last week i did go shopping with mum, which is always good. Lets be real, retail therapy is good for the soul. I got a new skirt which is sublime. Think tan/caramel chunky lace with neon orange detailing. Sigh. That one will be coming with me to brissy next wk. I got a cobalt blue shift as well which i will be taking to brassy. And i also got that kaftan (yesterdays post). The other few bits and bobs were cosmetic stuff (a pressie for Emmanuel's teacher and for hubby, not pictured).

I love this salad/sandwich bar, every time i go i get the schnitzel salad and the greek salad with the lemon balsamic vinegar. Yum!

Huge fan of the body shop and they had all their christmas range out and oh my goodness! It all smelt so divine. I ended up with this perfume, which has tiny specks of glitter and smells like a dior perfume i got many years ago! And i can't go past anything coconut. So this body was came home with me too. I also got a scrub from mum, but that is a chrissy present, i'll have to wait till the big guy comes ;)

And clinique. I swear that lady at Myers gets me every time. I didn't need any of my usual stock (but will soon :/, although mum said she had some that i can have!) but i got a lovely moisturising/radiance concentrate, which i use at night time and makes everything feel smooth and well nourished without being over the top oily. And i got a moisture mask, which paired with my glamglow my face has been looking quite good this past week (apart from two breakouts). I can tell a difference thats for sure!

Now this pic was taken waiting for the bus and seriously it was stinking hot. 47 degrees to be exact. But in the time it took for the bus to come (25mins) a change rolled through, and i saw it come over the water and it dropped the temp by 20 degrees! Phew! I went out with my girls on friday night to mexican which, like always, was fabulous.

Bed. New sheets. Sunday lazy days. Need i say more?

And this came in the mail last week. It was from Mecca if you are wondering and its as good as its cracked up to be. The mascara is the bomb. Will definitely be repurchasing!

I'm working today, but dinner is cooked and the child is off on adventure with my parents so the house will be very quiet for a few days.

What I'm wearing..

Hello loves!

Ah a day off! and the best bit? I got to spend the morning with my closest girlfriends whom i went to school with! Seriously, the bomb. When mum and i went shopping last week (a small haul coming on that one) i found this kaftan dress in leopard and i was sold. I was so happy to find a dress in leopard as i do love me some leopard. And i thought my girls won't care if I'm covered in leopard and look way over dressed for a morning hanging in my friends salon. BFF's don't judge.

Have a lovely day!

Where am i Wednesday

Hey there crazy beautiful peeps!

Lets face it, as i much as i LOVE reading everyone's weekend wrap ups, my life isn't that exciting. Especially considering saturday is taken up by work #shiftworkerproblems. So i might just do random wrap ups on a wednesday to keep you in touch as to where i have been/ what i have been doing in the past week.

It's hot here today. I should of went to the beach. And i should of gone on my walk but my friend bailed on me and i decided i wanted something homemade to go with my coffee.

Scones. God bless you.

Please note: the cream is not whipped, i couldn't be bothered. And this was a Donna Hay recipe and i think it was delicious, and simple! I will have to roll them out thicker next time and make them smaller in diameter as they weren't soft and cake like enough, you know.

We went up to the coast to watch the Cruise for charity i98fm Convoy Which gave me goosebumps and made me determined to work with kids in my career! Who ever started this charity event is a genius as it was just amazing watching all the trucks and bikes drive past. It was moving and emotional experience as everyone who was there was in some way shape or form touched by cancer.

I've had success in the last week with regaining my ability and inspiration to cook from scratch. Hubby liked it so i say this one was a success!

And let's face it, this blog may have more food pictures than anything else. A total food lover here, thus where my problem to diet is.

The rest of the week has just been work, look after child, work, say hi to hubby in passing, and life. I have today and tomorrow off!! YAY! i have a appointment up north tomorrow so mum and i are going to be having a shopping day. I brought a few things at portmans which i will share when i get them tomorrow! Excited for a girls day out!

I'm off to go buy a salad for lunch and to listen to some good tunes in the car. Yep I'm a bit of a looser sometimes. Not all the time ;D
